As the director of Education Abroad, Stephanie Davenport oversees administration of the university’s study abroad and exchange programs. She joined VCU Education Abroad in February 2005. An alumna of VCU, she first discovered her passion for international education while on a semester study abroad program in Edinburgh, Scotland, through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). In graduate school, she studied abroad in Peru and spent time volunteering in Ecuador as a teacher of English as a foreign language. She co-led an alternative spring break program to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2006, and in recent years has had the opportunity to travel to several of VCU’s partnership universities in Spain, England, Malaysia and Mexico.

Nasha Lewis joined VCU Education Abroad in September 2007. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international politics from George Mason University and a master’s degree in international education from George Washington University. Lewis has worked in community development for the U.S. Peace Corps in West Africa, and her experience there encouraged her to travel to other places such as Eastern Asia, Southern Africa, South America and Western Europe.

Cole Cridlin joined the VCU Education Abroad team in May 2011. He holds bachelor’s degrees from VCU in English, French and Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies. After studying abroad three times in France and Canada, he has dedicated himself to learning French and plans to live abroad someday. He plans to go on to teach English in France, among other things.
