VCU short-term programs abroad
Students participating in a summer 2013 faculty-led study abroad program should prepare to participate in a mandatory study abroad meeting which will be held on Wednesday May 1, 10am – 11:30am in Harris Hall Room 101 and Thursday May 2, 2pm – 3:30pm in the Commons Theater. Students only need to attend one of these meetings. The study abroad meeting is mandatory, so please mark your calendars!
At the meeting, VCU Education Abroad will discuss the refund policy, course registration, financial aid, billing, payments, health and safety, passports and visas, and disciplinary and academic issues. We will provide details about the International Student Identification Card (ISIC). Please remember that prior to the start of your study abroad program ISICs will be mailed to the address that you provided on your online application. If you would like to update your mailing address, please email abroad@vcu.edu with the updated address. Remember to indicate your program in the email.
In April, students will receive an email about the mandatory study abroad meeting. The meeting is compulsory and will last for about an hour and a half. You should prepare to stay for the entire time. May 1 is a reading day. If you have an exam on Thursday, May 2, we strongly encourage you to attend the May 1 meeting.
