We also assist the growing number of international students and scholars to make meaningful local connections with the Richmond community.

VCU without borders

Study abroad studentVCU students, faculty and staff are committed to engaging with communities worldwide to make a difference. Many have developed non-credit international service projects whose impact has been recognized by the VCU Division of Community Engagement as Acts of Caring. Broadly, an Act of Caring is any project, activity or initiative that partners VCU employees, students or alumni with local, regional or national/international communities. During the activity, VCU participants must be representing the university rather than acting as private citizens volunteering with community-service projects, service-learning academic course initiatives, community-based research, and more.
