Engage globally: VCU student travels to Peru for drawing and art history program — and the experience of a lifetime.
Betsy Schnibbe joined the “VCU in Peru” program in 2007. She said the drawing and art history program “had a huge impact on my life.”
One of the highlights was a four-day hike along the Inca Trail that required both mental and physical strength. She returned to the site days later with her sister, mother and grandmother to share her newly acquired knowledge.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to have these experiences, and the feelings they inspired are captured in an exuberant shot of my sister Jenna, leaping for joy in front of the breathtaking backdrop of Machu Picchu.”
